Lightbox Club

Lightbox Club in Vauxhall

Without much fuss, London’s Lightbox has raised the bar when it comes to club venues. It’s not just another SeOne, it is a vision from the future, an assault on the senses, an all encompassing club experience unmatched in this country.

The regular nights of tired lasers and the odd monochromatic strobe effects are gone. Now, Lightbox offers total submersion amongst thousands of pinprick LEDs, each controlled independently or manipulated as one, with the aim being to disseminate mind from body, reality from fiction. Lights line the walls and the ceiling, box clubbers in and add a visual element to a night out as never experienced before. Truth is, Lightbox makes those famed scenes from Saturday Night Fever look like a war torn country during black out.

In just 12 months, this futuristic, neon wardrobe has hosted events from some of the scenes smartest club brands. From the house decadence of Azuli’s parties past, though more techno slanted nights Isst, Fervor and Cadence, artists like Tiefschwartz, Reboot and Martin Landsky have all been illuminated at the Lightbox.

With such a solid start, it comes as no surprise that the quality of event being put on at Lightbox show no signs of dimming. Shogun Audio showcase Alex Perez and Friction in August, Glory Hole offer Dirty Vegas in September, Mimo present Mistress Da Funk in September and, in October, Shane Watcha treats all to a special set from an as yet unannounced techno titan courtesy of his Zombies Ate My Brain night. On top of that, there is a Gouranga awards ceremony on September 19th at which The GAG Awards will be presented, as will a set of fine house and techno courtesy of Mistress de Funk.

Welcome to your new favourite club.
